Joan of Arc Samples
Tension, confusion, Angels and Saints, triumph, and martyrdom. Joan of Arc made sense of it all.
Crazy, Witch or Saint?
Saint Joan has been considered one, the other, both, or all three. She was burned for the second label, and Canonized for the last, which is her eternal title, Saint.
Christopher says,
I think there's nothing "witchier" than the blues, so I tried to personify each different solo as a different persuasion, if that makes sense; if you can't tell which is which, even better, because the line is supposed to be blurred, even in your text.
Orléans
The way to and the victory at Orleans.
Anticipation, tension, uncertainty -- battlefield injury, a French retreat... then Joan's moment. The English flee.
Tried & True: Jeanne, Daughter of God
Composed for her trial and burning.
